Valdosta State University, Psychology Building

The Project removed the North Wing of Converse Hall, an existing two-story residence hall in order to construct a new three-story academic structure to house the Psychology Department on the main campus of Valdosta State University. The new building is 33,000 SF and consists of steel frame with CMU infill walls, concrete elevator shaft, concrete floor slabs, and concrete or metal roof deck. The roof is pitched and constructed with clay tile to match the campus. Exterior finish is stucco, cast stone lintels, cast stone brackets at entry porches, and timber framing with timber brackets for tile roof. The building has metal framed windows, and a clay tile mansard roof at the perimeter and entry porches.
