Pinevale Elementary School

 

Pinevale Elementary is a new 120,000 SF elementary school in Valdosta, Georgia. The project was built in two phases, in 13 months. Construction was completed on an existing site and required protection of students, faculty and staff at the existing facility. The existing facility was demolished. The new school includes administration offices, classrooms, labs, a media center, commercial kitchen, cafeteria, auditorium, and gymnasium. The building is structural steel frame with CMU infill and CMU interior demising walls along with cold formed metal framing at some exterior locations. The roof is all modified bitumen. The skin is brick with cast stone banding, Kalwall (translucent fiberglass panels acting as windows), decorative metal wall panels, storefront, and EIFS at the stair towers.
